Publication of the Hungarian and Czech translations of the document "The Bishop of Rome"

The Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity is pleased to announce the publication of the document "The Bishop of Rome” in Hungarian and Czech.

"The Bishop of Rome" is a study document that presents, for the first time, a synthesis of the responses to the encyclical "Ut Unum Sint" and of the ecumenical dialogues on the theme of primacy and synodality. It concludes with a proposal from the Dicastery identifying the most relevant suggestions for a renewed exercise of the ministry of unity of the Bishop of Rome, “recognized by all concerned” (Ut Unum Sint, 95).
