PROMEDIA Foundation Journalism Course visits DPCU

On 22 September 2025, journalists from Germany visited the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU) as part of a course organised by the KNA-PROMEDIA-Foundation. They were accompanied by Dr Ute Stenert, member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Vice-Chair of the Catholic Media Association.

In conversation with Fr Dr Augustinus Sander OSB, German official of the DPCU, they learned about the origins of the DPCU, as well as the background and current challenges of international ecumenism.

The KNA-PROMEDIA-Foundation offers professional training to national and international journalists who focus on sharing knowledge about religions. The Foundation’s proximity to Germany’s Catholic News Agency (KNA) enables it to address the issue of interreligious dialogue on a professional and well-connected level. Its close relationship with the Catholic Church and other religious and faith communities ensures a well-founded transfer of knowledge on factual topics related to interreligious life.

KNA has bureaux with staff correspondents in Rome and Jerusalem.
