Bulgarian Delegation visits Rome
On 22 May, at the Basilica of San Clemente in Rome, on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius and their disciples, which coincides with Bulgaria’s national celebration of Slavic culture, a Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Antonii, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Western and Central Europe of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the veneration of the relics and a prayer of thanksgiving took place at the tomb of Saint Constantine-Cyril.
Subsequently, the Reverend Jaromír Zádrapa conveyed the greetings of Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, to Metropolitan Antonii, and to the Bulgarian Orthodox community in Rome, led by the Reverend Ivan Ivanov.
On the same morning, Pope Leo XIV received the delegation at the Apostolic Palace.
