Dialogue with Mar Thoma Church

On 11 December, the third meeting of the bilateral dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church was held at the Christian Educational Centre of Charalkunnu, Kerala, India, co-chaired by Suffragan Metropolitan Joseph Mar Barnabas and Archbishop Mathew Moolakkatt, as Archbishop Flavio Pace was unable to attend.

The meeting included presentations on the development of Eucharistic ecclesiology in a Catholic perspective (Rev. Dr Varghese Kochuparampil) and in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church (Bishop Dr joseph Mar Ivanios), on Eucharistic theology in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church (Rev. Shibi Varghese), and on the sacrament of Baptism in a Latin liturgical perspectives (Rev. Augustine Kadeparambil).

His Beatitude Cardinal Baselios Cleemis, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, met with members of the commission during the dialogue session.
