DPCU participates in ecumenical prayer for Youth Jubilee

On 1 August, His Excellency Monsignor Flavio Pace, Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU), took part in an evening ecumenical prayer service at the Church of St Ignatius in Rome. The event was jointly organised by the Chemin Neuf Community, MAGIS (Movement and Action of Jesuits Together for Development), and the Taizé Community.

The prayer, based on the text of the Beatitudes, included special intentions for peace in Ukraine, Nicaragua, Gaza, and Palestine.

The event saw a large attendance of young people from various countries, who played an active role in the service. Also present were leaders from the Episcopal Church in Rome, the Methodist Office in Rome (MEOR), and the World Communion of Reformed Churches Office in Rome, along with several Catholic bishops and their delegations who had travelled to Rome for the Youth Jubilee.
