British Catholic-Reformed Dialogue Group visits Rome

31 Mar 2025

The official Roman Catholic-United Reformed Church Dialogue Group from Great Britain visited Rome from 25 to 28 March. Their visit, undertaken as a joint pilgrimage, marked the conclusion of the third phase of this national bilateral dialogue since its establishment in 2006. The pilgrimage included visits to English and Scottish institutions in Rome, to the Reformed Churches Ecumenical Office and to the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity.

The Dialogue group visited the offices of the Dicastery on Wednesday 26 March, accompanied by Revd Tara Curlewis, Ecumenical Liaison Officer for the World Communion of Reformed Churches, and were welcomed by Revd Fr Martin Browne OSB. After a short Ecumenical Prayer together, the group presented a copy of a publication providing resources to help local churches create or strengthen links between the two traditions at congregational level throughout Great Britain.
