Dialogue with Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church
On Thursday, 12 December 2024, the 25th meeting of the Joint Theological Commission for Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church was held at the Manganam Spirituality Centre in Kottayam, Kerala, India, co-chaired by Archbishop Flavio Pace and Metropolitan Mor Theophilose Kuriakose.
As agreed at the last meeting in 2023 (see Report), Prof. Dr. Anish K. Joy presented a paper on “Ecumenical Collaboration in the Digital World for Faith Formation and Youth Ministry”; Rev. Dr. Philip Nelpuraparambil presented comprehensive “Pastoral Guidelines on Ecumenical Collaboration in Pastoral Care in Universities and Hospital Chaplaincies”; and Rev. Fr. Jerry Kurian presented a contribution entitled “Theological and Pastoral Challenges Raised by Migration in Kerala.”
The Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church delegation comprised: H.E. Metropolitan Mor Theophilose Kuriakose (Co-Chair); H.E. Metropolitan Mor Anthimos Matthews; V. Rev.
