Joint document of Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and WCC
The Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID) and the World Council of Churches (WCC) have released a joint document “Serving a Wounded World in Interreligious Solidarity: A Christian Call to Reflection and Action During COVID-19 and Beyond” encouraging churches and Christian organizations to reflect on the importance of interreligious solidarity in a world wounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The document seeks to offer a Christian basis for interreligious solidarity aimed at inspiring the commitment to serve a world wounded not only by the current crisis, but also by many other sufferings. It offers a reflection on Christian solidarity with a view to an ecumenical and interreligious response, and describes key principles and recommendations for concrete action.
