International scholarship holders visit DPCU

As part of an ecumenical seminar in Rome entitled “Rome as a Hub for Global Christianity”, a group of international scholarship holders from Protestant and Catholic scholarship organisations in Germany visited the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU) on 30 September 2026.

Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the DPCU, spoke about the history, mission and current work of the Dicastery. Fr Dr Augustinus Sander OSB, a member of the DPCU staff from Germany, also took part in the meeting.

The scholarship holders belong to Oriental Orthodox, Orthodox and various Protestant Churches and are supported by the following institutions: Brot für die Welt, the Academy for International Ecumenism in Hamburg, the Johann Adam Möhler Institute in Paderborn, the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), the German National Committee of the Lutheran World Federation (DNK-LWB), and Mission Eine Welt.
