New book on Catholic-Oriental Orthodox Dialogue
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the official dialogue between the Catholic Church and the whole family of the Oriental Orthodox Churches, the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity has published a commemorative book entitled The Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches. 20th Anniversary (2003-2023).
This commemorative volume, which will be officially presented during an Academic Act at the Angelicum on Tuesday 23 January, contains the documents agreed by the commission, the annual reports and some of the speeches given at the sessions, with a common preface by Cardinal Kurt Koch and Bishop Kyrillos, Co-Chairs
The reader will appreciate not only the profound ecclesiological insights of the documents, but also the incredible richness of the dialogue, in which the Coptic, Syriac, Armenian, Malankara, Ethiopian, Eritrean and Latin Church traditions are represented.
