New book on relations between Catholic Church and Coptic Orthodox Church

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the historic meeting between Pope Paul VI and Pope Shenouda III, the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity has published a commemorative book entitled The Catholic Church and the Coptic Orthodox Church. 50th Anniversary of the Meeting between Pope Paul VI and Pope Shenouda III (1973-2023).

The book contains the main documents of the rapprochement between the Catholic Church and the Coptic Orthodox Church since Vatican Council II, with a common preface by Pope Francis and Pope Tawadros II.

Edited by the Libreria Editrice Vaticana in the new series “Ut Unum Sint” of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, it is the third volume of the series, after In cammino verso l'unità - 60° anniversario del Pontificio Consiglio per la Promozione dell’Unità dei Cristiani and La missione ecumenica delle Chiese orientali cattoliche in Europa oggi Atti dell’incontro dei Vescovi Orientali Cattolici in Europa.
