Acta Oecumenica 2022

20 Jun 2023

The new volume of Acta OEcumenica (2022, No. 4) has just been published. It can be consulted online and ordered in paper form from the Libreria Editrice Vaticana (LEV).

For the first time, the journal of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPUC) is published in two volumes. The first is dedicated to the Holy See's ecumenical activities in 2022, including the DPUC Plenary Assembly, the first in-presence meeting of members and consultors since 2018.

The second volume brings together four dialogue documents: with the World Methodist Council (God Reconciles Us in Christ: On the Way to Full Communion in Faith, Sacrament and Mission), the Lutheran World Federation (Baptism and Growth in Communion), the Oriental Orthodox Churches (The Sacraments in the Life of the Church) and the Assyrian Church of the East (The images of the Church in the Syriac and Latin Patristic Traditions). This corpus is completed by a working paper of the Dicastery on the impact of the pandemic on ecumenical relations (Ecumenism in the Time of the Pandemic: From Crisis to Opportunity) and the Tenth Report of the Joint Working Group with the World Council of Churches (Walking, Praying and Working Together: An Ecumenical Pilgrimage).

Acta Œcumenica is the journal of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity. Founded in 2020, it is a continuation of the bulletin Information Service/Service d'Information published by the Dicastery since 1967, the archives of which are fully available online.

The journal publishes an annual volume of documents concerning the Holy See's commitment to Christian unity: ecumenical speeches and statements by the Holy Father, information on the various activities of the Dicastery (documents from the various international dialogues, texts from the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, activities of the Cardinal Prefect, etc.) and the Commission for Religious Relations with Judaism.

The paper version of the magazine is available by annual subscription (€ 38.00). Distribution is handled by Libreria Editrice Vaticana (LEV). Email: riviste.lev@spc.va.
