“Listening to the West” ‒ Ecumenical Symposium on Synodality according to the Western Christian Communions

Following up on the symposium “Listening to the East”, an International Ecumenical Conference “Listening to the West” will be held at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) on 26-28 January 2023 upon the initiative of the Institute for Ecumenical Studies of the Angelicum.

Organized under the patronage of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the General Secretariat of the Synod, the Conference, in which more than 40 theologians will take part, is aimed at listening to the various experiences of synodality of the Mainline Western Christian communions, as an academic ecumenical consultation for the current Catholic synodal process.
