Cardinal Koch as guest at the St Ulrich's Jubilee of the Diocese of Augsburg (Germany)

At the invitation of the Bishop of Augsburg, Dr Bertram Meier, Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU), took part in a conference at the Haus Sankt Ulrich in Augsburg on 16 December 2023.

As part of the St Ulrich's Jubilee of the Diocese of Augsburg, Cardinal Koch gave a lecture on "Die Bedeutung der Einheit der Christen für die Evangelisierung" ["The importance of Christian unity for evangelisation"], which was followed by a panel discussion with representatives of various ecumenical movements.

At the end of the conference, Cardinal Koch celebrated the Pontifical Mass of the Third Sunday of Advent "Gaudete" in the Basilica of Saints Ulrich and Afra, preaching on "Freude - Notenschlüssel der neuen Evangelisierung" ["Joy - the musical key to the new evangelisation"].

Cardinal Koch was accompanied by Father Dr Augustinus Sander, OSB, Official of the DPCU.
