Lutheran pastors from Germany visit the DPCU

On 13 May 2024, pastors and pastoral staff from the Lutheran deanery of Markt Einersheim in Germany, led by Dean Ivo Huber, visited the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU). They were accompanied by Rev. Martin Bräuer D.D., member of the German Bensheim Institute for Confessional Studies.

Fr Dr Augustinus Sander, DPCU official responsible for relations with the Lutherans, gave an overview of the history of the DPCU and its current activities. In an intensive theological discussion, the pre-confessional significance of the Augsburg Confession and the understanding of the episcopacy as an office of unity were addressed.
