Finnish theology students visit the DPCU

Lutheran theology students from the University of Eastern Finland, accompanied by their lecturer, Rev. Dr Joona Salminen, visited the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity (DPCU) on 22 November 2023.

Father Dr Augustinus Sander, OSB, staff member of the DPCU responsible for relations with the Lutherans, gave an overview of the origins and current tasks of the Dicastery. The special character of Catholic-Lutheran dialogue in Finland and the significance of Benedictine monasticism as a vocation for unity were the focal points of the lively discussion that followed.
