Visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

On September 17, Pope Francis and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew held a private meeting in the Vatican. Patriarch Bartholomew was in Rome, September 15-18, to take part in the 50th anniversary of the Society for the Law of the Eastern Churches, of which he was the first Vice-President. On September 16, the Patriarch delivered the inaugural conference of the symposium at the Pontifical Oriental Institute before celebrating Vespers at the Church of San Teodoro al Palatino.
