12 Jul 2019

From 3–10 July  the Institute for Ecumenical Research in Strasbourg hosted its 53rd International Ecumenical Seminar. About 60 participants from different churches and more than 20 countries reflected on the theme “Doctrine divides - Spirituality unites?” The seminar explored forms of spirituality that are practised beyond the boundaries of a denomination, e.g. Carmelite, Franciscan or Ignatian aspects of piety, elements of Orthodox piety and the spiritual path of Taizé.

Father Augustinus Sander, OSB, of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity spoke about “The Liturgy of the Hours as an Ecumenical Opportunity. A Benedictine Perspective”.
