Forum Montreal

From 26-28 June, the 2019 Forum of Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogues in Canada took place near Montreal. The Forum is held every three years and brings together the Bishops of the Episcopal Commissions for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue, as well as Ecumenical Officers and participants in the various national dialogues sponsored by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.  The Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Bishop Brian Farrell, was the keynote speaker at the Forum and guided various Question and Answer sessions with the participants. The Forum is an opportunity to examine the state of ecumenical and interreligious dialogue in Canada, to reflect on the challenges that arise along the way and to coordinate the work of the many actors involved.
