Video Message of Pope Francis to "The Change" event - WYD 2023

Pope Francis sent a video message (see below) in Spanish to participants in the WYD gathering of praise, worship and Christian witness: “The Change”, held at the Estadio da Luz of Benfica (Lisbon). The gathering was convened by the Associação Rodrigues Pereira (evangelical-charismatic) together with CHARIS. The organizers estimate that about 45,000 young people from different Christian traditions were present.

In his message, the Holy Father, evoking King David praising and dancing before God, invited all participants to "praise God...in joy," as part of World Youth Day 2023. He repeated the call to unity and thanked everyone for their efforts in bringing Christians together.
