Ecumenical and Interreligious Forum in Capodistria

On 17 and 18 June, the Slovenian Bishops’ Conference organized the Forum for Dialogue and Peace in the Balkans, entitled "Peace to you, Europe! Peace to you, Balkans!" The meeting was attended by about 20 representatives of different Christian traditions and religions present in the Balkans. The forum ended with a ten-point final declaration signed by all the religious leaders present, including Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State. The Diocese of Koper lies at the crossroads of three great European traditions: Slavic, Germanic and Romanic.

Fr. Jaromír Zádrapa, a member of the DPUC's Eastern Section and responsible for relations with the Slavic Orthodox Churches, also participated in the meeting.
