On Thursday 9 March the Holy Father received in private audience the Prior of Taizé, Frère Alois, and some members of the Community.

The meeting was an opportunity to talk about the preparation of the ecumenical event "Together - Gathering of the People of God" which will take place on 30 September in Rome, on the eve of the Bishops’ synodal assembly, as announced by Pope Francis on 15 January.

The next stage in the preparation of this event, which already involves some sixty partners from various Christian traditions, takes place from 12 to 15 March in Rome.

Frère Alois’ last audience with Pope Francis was on 21 March 2022.
