Visit of delegation of Orthodox Church of Georgia

On Tuesday 28 June Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, received the Reverend Archimandrites Ioane Khelaia and Mosè Chankvetadze, together with Father Matteo Kutelia, of the Orthodox Church of Georgia, who are responsible for the pastoral care of various Georgian communities in Italy.

The meeting, held within the framework of the concert held in the Sistine Chapel of the Patriarchal Choir of the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, offered the opportunity for a fraternal exchange on some pastoral issues and on relations between the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church of Georgia.
