Visit of pastors of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony

On 18 May, pastors and pastoral workers of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony (Germany) visited the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU) as part of a study tour of the “Landesverband Sachsen des Evangelischen Bundes” led by Dr Harald Lamprecht. Reverend Father Augustinus Sander, OSB, staff member responsible for the dialogue with the Lutherans, gave an introduction to the tasks of the PCPCU and the current challenges of ecumenical dialogue.

The “Landesverband Sachsen des Evangelischen Bundes” connects people who are interested in questions of ecumenism, confessional studies and interreligious dialogue. It is a working organisation within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony.
