Meeting of the Academic Advisory Board of the Johann Adam Möhler Institute in Paderborn

On 30 and 31 March, the Academic Advisory Board of the Johann Adam Möhler Institute for Ecumenism met in Paderborn, where Reverend Dr Augustinus Sander, OSB, staff member of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU) responsible for the dialogue with the Lutherans and the Old Catholics, presented the “Ecumenical Report from Rome”.

At the end of the conference, Professor Dr Wolfgang Thönissen was given a farewell from his active service as Executive Director of the Johann Adam Möhler Institute. On this occasion, Reverend Augustinus Sander read out an official letter in which Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the PCPCU, thanked Professor Thönissen for his extensive ecumenical engagement in the international Catholic‒Lutheran dialogue.
