Visit to PCPCU of students from Germany and the Netherlands

On 21 February 2022, a group of German and Dutch theology students and doctoral candidates from the dioceses of Regensburg, Passau, Munich and Utrecht visited the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU).

Father Augustinus Sander, OSB, staff member responsible for the dialogue with the Lutherans, gave an introduction to the history and mandate of the PCPCU.

Of particular interest were the future ecumenical events involving the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea in 2025, and 500th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession in 2030.
