Holy Father expresses greetings to Eastern Churches celebrating Christmas

The Holy Father sent his best wishes of peace and joy for Oriental, Catholic and Orthodox Christians celebrating Christmas on 7 January according to the Julian calendar. Speaking after the Angelus on 6 January, Pope Francis said, “I extend my heartfelt best wishes of peace and every good to them. May Christ, born of the Virgin Mary, enlighten your families and your communities! Brothers and sisters, many blessings, many blessings!”
