Visit of Association of Christian Churches in Germany

On 26 October, Dr Verena Hammes, General Secretary of the Association of Christian Churches in Germany (ACK), visited the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU).  Dr Hammes is head of the Ecumenical Centre in Frankfurt am Main and also works there as Roman Catholic referent.

In conversation with Reverend Father Augustinus Sander, OSB, the PCPCU staff member responsible for dialogue with the Lutherans, Dr Hammes discussed the current ecumenical situation in Germany and its particular challenges and opportunities.
