Bernd Wallet new Old Catholic Archbishop of Utrecht

On Saturday, 18 September 2021, Right Reverend Bernd Wallet was ordained as Old Catholic Archbishop of Utrecht in the Lebuinus Church in Deventer, Netherlands.

Due to the Covid‒19 pandemic, the ordination had been postponed twice. Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, had already sent his best wishes of blessings in a letter to Bernd Wallet immediately after his election in February 2020.
