Visit of Cardinal Koch to Patriarch Sako

On 14 September 2021, Cardinal Kurt Koch, accompanied by Archbishop Mitja Leskovar, Apostolic Nuncio in Iraq, and Reverend Father Hyacinthe Destivelle, Official of the PCPCU, visited Cardinal Louis-Raphael Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldeans, at his see in Baghdad (Mansour). The meeting, which was also attended by Bishop Basel Yaldo, offered an opportunity to discuss the fruits of the Holy Father’s recent visit, the situation of Christians in Iraq and their ecumenical relations.
