Visit of the German Lutheran Bishop Manzke to the PCPCU

On 6 July 2021 Bishop Karl-Hinrich Manzke, responsible of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germany for contact with the Catholic Church, visited the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity together with his theological assistant, Pastor Lutz Gräber.

The common pastoral tasks and challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and the goals of the Catholic-Lutheran dialogue were the main topics of their conversation with Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the PCPCU, and Fr Augustinus Sander OSB, official in charge of relations with the Lutheran world.
