Visit of Archbishop Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub

His Eminence Mor Anthimos Jack Yakoub, Patriarchal Vicar for Youth Affairs and Christian Education, visited Rome from 14–22 April 2021 on behalf of His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch and All the East.

On Friday 17 April His Eminence was received in an audience with Pope Francis in the private library of the Apostolic Palace. He later met with Bishop Brian Farrell, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, at the Domus Sanctae Marthae.

On Tuesday 20 April His Eminence was received by Cardinal Kurt Koch at the office of the Pontifical Council.

In January 2020, the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch hosted the 17th meeting of the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches at the patriarchal residence in Atchaneh, Lebanon.
