Bishop Brian Farrell takes part in Ecumenical Consultation in Antelias, Lebanon

On 31 January and 1 February an Ecumenical Consultation took place at the invitation of  His Holiness Catholicos Aram I at the Armenian Catholicossate in Antelias, Lebanon, on the theme ‘Towards a More Responsive and Inclusive Ecumenical Vision’.

The participants, experienced ecumenists from many parts of the world, reflected on the present state of the ecumenical movement and the need for a more inclusive and responsive approach to the challenges of this time.

The Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity was represented by Bishop Brian Farrell, Secretary.

On Sunday 2 February the group attended the Solemn Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Church of the Great House of Cilicia, presided over by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I.

A report was issued after the conclusion of the meeting.
