The Holy Father receives Metropolitan Hilarion

On 19 October 2018, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, President of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, was received by the Holy Father. The previous day, Thursday 18 October, the Metropolitan had delivered a speech at the XV Plenary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops as a fraternal delegate, subsequently meeting Cardinal Kurt Koch. Reverend Father Alexey Dikarev and Mr Ivan Nikolaev were also part of the delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church.
