Cardinal Kurt Koch in Bratislava for the colloquium "Between Jerusalem and Rome"
On the occasion of the publication of the Slovak translations of the texts on the religious relations between the Catholic Church and Judaism, Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, accompanied by Reverend Father Norbert Hofmann, SDB, Secretary of the Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, participated in the colloquium “Between Jerusalem and Rome” organized by the Episcopal Conference of Slovakia and the Central Union of Jewish Communities in the Slovak Republic held on 4 December 2018 in the Primatial Palace of Bratislava (Slovakia).
Welcomed by Archbishop Stanislav Zvolenský, Metropolitan Archbishop of Bratislava and President of the Episcopal Conference; by Mr Igor Rintel, President of the Central Union of Jewish Communities in the Slovakia; and by Mr Ivo Nesrovnal, Mayor of Bratislava, Cardinal Koch presented a paper on “The Catholic–Jewish Dialogue from the Second Vatican Council to Today”. Rabbi Josh Ahrens and Professor Lucia Hidvéghyová of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Trnava also took part in the colloquium.
