Meeting with the fraternal delegates at the Synod of Bishops

Representing their Churches and Ecclesial Communities, fraternal delegates were invited, as is customary, to take part in the XV Synod of Bishops (3-28 October 2018). They addressed the Synodal Assembly with the following speeches:

- H. Em. Nikitas (Lulias), Metropolitan of Dardanelles, United States of America (Ecumenical Patriarchate);

- H.Em. Hilarion, Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, President of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate;

- H.E. Athanasius of Bogdania, Vicar Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Italy;

- Right Revd Joel Waweru Mwangi, Bishop of Nairobi Diocese, Anglican Church of Kenya (Anglican Communion);

- Revd Dr Tim Macquiban, Director of the Methodist Ecumenical Office Rome (World Methodist Council);

- Ms Julia Braband, Member of the Youth Committee of the German National Committee of the Lutheran World Federation;

- Dr Marco Alfredo Fornerone, Waldesian Pastor (World Communion of Reformed Churches);

-  Rev. Martina Viktorie Kopecká, Young Member of the Central and Executive Committee of the World Council of Churches, Director of the WCC ECHOS Youth Commission (Switzerland).

As a sign of gratitude for their participation, on Thursday 11 October, Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, hosted a dinner attended also by some of the Council’s officials.
